Dog Boarding Kennels at Oak Farm

From a single dog, to a family of dogs, our kennels have the perfect accommodation for your pet

Our buildings provide warm comfortable rooms for all breeds, they are cool in summer and warm in winter. We play Classical music in the night to keep the dogs relaxed.  We use bedding and blankets for warmth, which are washed daily. All rooms have outside covered runs for wet conditions otherwise dogs are out in the gardens playing and socialising out in the 14 large gardens. We also walk the dogs across the fields if customers require this service. We take puppies from 10 weeks up to the oldest being a 20-year-old basset hound.

In the unfortunate event of a pet becoming ill, one of our vets is just 2 minutes away and can be left in their care if so required.

All dogs must be fully vaccinated to also include the kennel cough vaccine (which is not the annual booster) we regret that without proof of vaccination, no pet will be admitted into our care. This must be administered at least 14 days or more before drop off.

We offer a collection and delivery service for any animals.

We give open and honest advice about boarding your pet, along with:

Clean and comfortable accommodation
Special diets catered
Medication administered
Regular times for play and exercise
24 hour veterinary services on standby
Additional grooming services, if requested
Delivery and collection available

When You’ll Look You’ll Book

We strongly encourage you to visit our kennels before boarding to reassure yourself that we are the right one for your dog. Please phone before visiting to ensure Sean, the owner can personally see you.

High Level of Personal Care

We are a family business and are great dog lovers, so when your pets stay with us they become part of our family.

Many of our dogs have boarded with us from their first visit as excitable puppies to elderly dogs requiring special care. Owners and dogs trust us to offer the best possible care and we do our utmost to meet each dog's needs.

Kennel Accommodation

We provide the same dedication to a single dog or a family of dogs, our kennels have the perfect accommodation for your pet.

We appreciate all dogs are different, hence we provide your dog with the individual care and attention it requires to ensure it has a happy and healthy stay.

As dog lovers, we know how important it is for your pet to have a safe play to play.

We provide a clean, safe environment with plenty of fresh air for your dogs to exercise.

All rooms have outside covered runs for wet conditions otherwise dogs are out in the gardens playing and socialising out in the 14 large gardens.

Perfect For Families of Dogs

Our large heated kennels are ideal for boarding families of dogs. Generous discounts are given to families of dogs sharing the same kennel.

Generous Exercise

All dogs are exercised in our large secure grass areas, where they can run freely. There is always a member of staff to supervise them and encourage them with toys for retrieval and chasing.

During exercise the kennels are all thoroughly cleaned, most dogs prefer to keep their kennel area clean and the frequency of exercise makes it easy for them to do so. This usually means the dogs do not go home smelling of kennels.

Dog Food

We feed high-quality premium dried foods. Before boarding, we will discuss your dog’s requirements with you and if you prefer to supply your dog’s food you may do so.

Depending on your requirements we can feed once or twice a day.

Working with you we will feed our food or you’re bought in food.

Vaccinations

For their protection, we require that all dogs boarding with us are vaccinated against Hepatitis, Distemper, Leptospirosis, and Parvovirus. Please remember to bring your dog’s vaccination certificate with you when your dog is brought in for his holiday with us.

Vet on call

In the unlikely event that your dog was to be taken ill, we have a vet close by to tend to their veterinary needs.

  • I am really protective of my fur baby Diablo the Chihuahua. Oak Farm Kennels was my first choice as I loved seeing how happy the dogs already in their care were either running around in the pens or chilling out on the grassed areas. Beautiful setting too think I will ask if I can board at Oak Farm too. Happy dog happy customer thank you Oak Farm.
